SCONVOLGENTE !:

Questa citazione è riportata anche a fine Capitolo 19 della prima biografia di San Giovanni di Dio scritta da Francisco de Castro. E’ una consapevolezza presente fin dalla prima ora. Sarebbe un peccato non considerarla oggi tra i patrimoni di famiglia da tramandarsi di generazione in generazione.

Babilonia: porta di Nabucodonosor

Il Complesso del castello di Monguzzo, uno dei più antichi ed importanti della brianza sorge sopra un colle isolato (Mons Acutus) sopra a Monguzzo, a pochi chilometri da Erba Incino, scendendo alla stazione di Merone; attraversando la ferrovia e la strada Valassina.

Eretto attorno al 920 D.C. , passato dapprima in possesso di vari casati Nobiliari e Reggenti , ed usato dapprima come fortezza, prigione ed infine abitazione, dal 1966 il Castello fù donato per lascito alla Provincia Lombardo Veneta dell’Ordine Ospedaliero S.Giovanni di Dio che, secondo il volere della sua testatrice (l’ultima proprietaria Leonilde Trussardi) , ha adibito a Centro Studi Ospedalieri e luogo di Congressi e Convegni di carattere scientifico, sanitario e religioso.

Il secondo sogno del re: il grande albero

“l daniele prfeta nella fossa dei leoni o, Nabucodonosor, vivevo tranquillo e felice nel mio palazzo reale. Una notte, mentre dormivo, feci un sogno che mi spaventò: ebbi visioni e incubi che mi turbarono profondamente. 3Ordinai allora di convocare alla mia presenza tutti i saggi di Babilonia perché mi spiegassero il significato del sogno. Ma quando giunsero gli indovini, i maghi, gli incantatori e gli astrologi e io raccontai loro il mio sogno, nessuno fu capace di darmene la spiegazione. 5Alla fine si presentò anche Daniele. Quest’uomo, che si chiama anche Baltazzar, dal nome del mio dio, è animato dallo spirito degli dèi santi. Gli raccontai il mio sogno e gli dissi: Baltazzar, capo degli indovini, so bene che tu sei sostenuto dallo spirito degli dèi santi e perciò nessun mistero ti è difficile. Spiegami il significato di quel che ho sognato. Mentre dormivo, ho avuto questa visione:

Quell’albero diventava grande e robusto, i suoi rami più alti raggiungevano il cielo. Si poteva vedere fino dall’estremità della terra. Le sue foglie erano magnifiche: aveva frutti così abbondanti da sfamare ogni creatura. Le bestie potevano ripararsi alla sua ombra e gli uccelli fare il nido tra i suoi rami. Ogni creatura si poteva sfamare.

10“Sempre mentre dormivo, ho poi visto un angelo santo che scendeva dal cielo. Abbattete quest’albero e tagliate i suoi rami, spogliatelo delle sue foglie e disperdetene i frutti! Le bestie fuggano via e gli uccelli lascino i suoi rami! Ma lasciate nella terra il ceppo con le radici, legatelo con una catena di ferro e di bronzo. Sarà bagnato dalla rugiada tra l’erba dei campi e si nutrirà d’erba, come gli animali: non avrà più l’intelligenza di un uomo, ma avrà l’istinto di un animale. Resterà in questa condizione per sette anni!

Daniele spiega il sogno del re

6Daniele, chiamato anche Baltazzar, rimase per un po’ di tempo profondamente turbato. Il re gli disse:

– Baltazzar, non lasciarti turbare da questo sogno e dal suo significato!

Ma Baltazzar rispose:

– Maestà, come vorrei che questo sogno e il suo significato riguardassero i tuoi nemici! Tu hai visto un albero grande e robusto. I suoi rami più alti raggiungevano il cielo. Si poteva vedere fino dall’estremità della terra. Le sue foglie erano magnifiche, aveva frutti così abbondanti da sfamare ogni creatura. Le bestie potevano ripararsi alla sua ombra e gli uccelli fare il nido tra i suoi rami. Ebbene, maestà, questo albero sei tu! Anche tu sei diventato grande e robusto; la tua grandezza ha raggiunto il cielo e il tuo dominio si è esteso fino all’estremità della terra. Poi tu hai visto un angelo santo scendere dal cielo e dare quest’ordine: “Abbattete l’albero e distruggetelo! Ma lasciate nella terra il ceppo con le radici e legatelo con una catena di ferro e di bronzo tra l’erba dei campi. Sarà bagnato dalla rugiada e dovrà condividere per sette anni la sorte degli animali”.

Al re Nabucodonosor accadde tutto quel che gli era stato predetto. Infatti l’anno successivo mentre il re passeggiava sul terrazzo della reggia di Babilonia esclamò: “Ecco Babilonia, la grande città da me costruita come residenza reale. Essa mostra la mia grande potenza e il mio potere glorioso!”. Nello stesso istante in cui il re pronunziava queste parole una voce dal cielo disse: “Re Nabucodonosor, ascolta questo messaggio: Il potere regale ti è tolto! Sarai cacciato di mezzo agli uomini! Vivrai tra gli animali selvaggi, ti nutrirai di erba come i buoi! Resterai per sette anni in questa condizione e alla fine riconoscerai che il Dio Altissimo è il signore dei regni e stabilisce chi deve essere re”. Queste parole si avverarono subito: Nabucodonosor venne cacciato di mezzo agli uomini, cominciò a mangiare l’erba come i buoi e il suo corpo fu bagnato dalla rugiada. I suoi capelli divennero lunghi come le penne delle aquile e le sue unghie come quelle degli uccelli rapaci.

Maestà, ecco il significato, ed ecco la decisione che il Dio Altissimo ha preso nei tuoi riguardi. Sarai cacciato di mezzo agli uomini! Vivrai tra gli animali selvaggi, ti nutrirai di erba come i buoi e sarai bagnato dalla rugiada! Resterai in questa condizione per sette anni, e alla fine dovrai riconoscere che il Dio Altissimo è il Signore di tutti i regni e stabilisce chi deve essere re. L’ordine di lasciare il ceppo dell’albero con le sue radici significa questo: potrai di nuovo regnare quando riconoscerai che il Dio del cielo domina su tutto. 24Perciò, maestà, ascolta il mio consiglio: rinunzia ai tuoi peccati praticando la giustizia e alle tue iniquità con atti di misericordia verso i poveri; può darsi che tu possa vivere a lungo felice.

Il sogno si realizza

La guarigione di Nabucodonosor

Il re disse: “Alla fine dei sette anni, io, Nabucodonosor alzai gli occhi verso il cielo e mi fu ridata la mia intelligenza di uomo. Ringraziai il Dio Altissimo che vive per sempre e cominciai a lodare e a proclamare la sua gloria: il suo dominio non ha fine, il suo regno dura per sempre. Tutti gli abitanti del mondo non sono niente in confronto a lui; egli dispone come gli piace sia degli esseri celesti sia di quelli terrestri. Nessuno può opporsi a lui e contestare quel che ha fatto. “In quel momento mi fu dunque ridata la mia intelligenza. Per la gloria del mio regno mi fu anche ridata la dignità e lo splendore regale. I miei ministri e i miei alti funzionari mi ricercarono di nuovo. Fui ristabilito sul mio trono e ricevetti onori più di prima. Perciò ora io, Nabucodonosor, lodo, esalto, glorifico il Re del cielo! Ogni sua azione è regale, ogni sua impresa è giusta. Egli ha il potere di umiliare quelli che si comportano con superbia”.

La profezia di questa pagina biblica è in atto.

Il Papa: «Le grandi banche crollano e i soldi svaniscono. Solo la parola di Dio è solida»

ROMA (6 ottobre) – Della grande crisi ha parlato anche Benedetto XVI:

«Vediamo adesso nel crollo delle grandi banche che i soldi scompaiono, sono niente, e tutte queste cose che sembrano vere in realtà sono di secondo ordine».

Lo ricordi chi «costruisce solo sulle cose sono visibili, come il successo, la carriera, i soldi». Il Papa ha parlato a braccio, in apertura dei lavori del sinodo dei vescovi sulla Bibbia.
«Solo la parola di Dio – ha detto – è una realtà solida».

La riflessione del Papa è partita dal brano evangelico sulla casa costruita sulla sabbia o sulla roccia.

«Costruisce sulla sabbia la casa della propria vita – ha osservato Benedetto XVI – chi costruisce solo sulle cose visibili e toccabili, come il successo, la carriera, i soldi».

«Apparentemente – ha commentato – queste sono le vere realtà, ma questa realtà prima o poi passa: vediamo adesso nel crollo delle grandi banche, che scompaiono questi soldi, che non sono niente».

«Di per sè – ha aggiunto – tutte queste cose che sembrano la vera realtà sono solo realtà di secondo ordine e chi costruisce su questo costruisce sulla sabbia. Solo la parola di Dio è fondamento della realtà e cambia il nostro concetto di realismo: realista è chi riconosce la realtà nella parola di Dio».

Una studentessa irrequieta aveva vissuto la brutta esperienza di una «overdose»: come tanti suoi coetanei, aveva deciso di “risolvere” i propri problemi d’infelicità nello “sballo”.

Tuttavia, invece di essere consegnata alla polizia, fu accompagnata dagli amici in una Comunità di accoglienza. Quando la situazione lo permise, il prete che guidava la comunità, un uomo colto e preparato, professore di teologia e di psicologia, la invitò nel suo ufficio.

Così ricorda: «Ogni sua parola era intercalata da una bestemmia. Devo ammettere che, in quel momento, mi chiesi se mangiasse con la stessa bocca con cui parlava.

Cominciò col raccontarmi del suo “brutto viaggio”». I colloqui, nonostante tutto, continuarono. «Ero semplicemente e completamente sconvolto dalle cose che mi descriveva ad ogni nostra seduta!», riferisce il prete, che cercava di cambiare la ragazzacon i ragionamenti più sottili e convincenti.

Quando per gli studenti iniziarono le vacanze estive, finirono gli incontri tra il professore e la ragazza. Alla ripresa autunnale, la ragazza non si fece vedere. Il prete domandò alla sua migliore amica dove fosse. «Oh!», disse l’amica, «si è convertita e adesso vive in una Comunità cristiana del Nord, e scrive lettere come una suora!»

Il prete rimase di stucco: non se lo sarebbe proprio aspettato. Passarono diversi mesi, e un giorno la ragazza tornò per vedere la famiglia e gli amici. Andò anche nell’ufficio del prete, e per prima cosa lo abbracciò. Era evidentemente molto cambiata. Il prete le chiese come fosse avvenuta la sua conversione, e soprattutto se era stato grazie ai loro colloqui, ma lei rispose: «Oh, no! Lei mi ha trattata con i “guanti di velluto”.

Il cuoco della pizzeria in cui ho lavorato quest’estate, invece, ha usato dei modi diversi. Più di una volta mi ha detto, con il suo forte accento: “Certo che sembri proprio triste, ragazza. Perché non permetti a Gesù Cristo di entrare nella tua vita? Lascia che Gesù esca dalle pagine della Bibbia, per entrare nella tua vita!”».

La ragazza sorrise e continuò: «Io gli rispondevo: “Taglia corto con queste fesserie!”; ma, a sua insaputa, cominciai a leggere la Bibbia tutte le sere. E, una di quelle sere, Gesù Cristo “uscì” veramente da quelle pagine per entrare nella mia vita!».

Il prete professore, con tutti i suoi gradi accademici, era stato completamente superato dal cuoco di una pizzeria.

e a tutto provvede

Dalle «Lettere» di san Giovanni di Dio:

S.Giovanni di Dio elfundador “Se guardassimo alla misericordia di Dio, non cesseremo mai di fare il bene tutte le volte che se ne offre la possibilità. Infatti quando, per amor di Dio, passiamo ai poveri ciò che egli stesso ha dato a noi, ci promette il centuplo nella beatitudine eterna.
O felice guadagno, o beato acquisto! Chi non donerà a quest’ottimo mercante ciò che possiede, quando cura il nostro interesse e ci supplica a braccia aperte di convertirci a lui e di piangere i nostri peccati e di metterci al servizio della carità, prima verso di noi e poi verso il prossimo? Infatti come l’acqua estingue il fuoco, così la carità cancella il peccato (cfr. Sir 3, 29).
S.Giovanni di Dio elfundador Vengono qui tanti poveri, che io molto spesso mi meraviglio in che modo possano esser mentenuti. Ma Gesù Cristo provvede a tutto e tutti sfama. Molti poveri vengono nella casa di Dio, perché la città di Granada é grande e freddissima, soprattutto ora che é inverno.
Abitano ora in questa casa oltre centodieci persone: malati, sani, poveri, pellegrini. Dato che questa é la casa generale, accoglie malati di ogni genere e condizione:

rattrappiti nelle membra,
storpi,
lebbrosi,
muti,
dementi,
paralitici,
tignosi,
stremati dalla vecchiaia,
molti fanciulli
e inoltre innumerevoli pellegrini e viandanti, che giungono qui e trovano fuoco, acqua, sale e recipienti in cui cuocere i cibi.

Non esistono stanziamenti pecuniari per tutti costoro, ma Cristo provvede.

Perciò lavoro con denaro altrui
e sono prigioniero per onore di Gesù Cristo.
Sono così oppresso dai debiti, che spesso non oso uscire di casa a motivo dei creditori ai quali devo rispondere.
D’altra parte vi sono tanti poveri fratelli, mio prossimo, provati oltre ogni possibilità umana, sia nell’anima che nel corpo, che io sento grandissima amarezza di non poter soccorrere.
Confido tuttavia in Cristo che conosce il mio cuore. Perciò dico: maledetto l’uomo che confida negli uomini e non confida in Cristo.
Volente o nolente, gli uomini ti lasceranno. Cristo invece é fedele e immutabile.
Cristo veramente provvede a tutto. A lui rendiamo sempre grazie. Amen.”

RINASCENZE

“A tutte le decadenze corrispondono rinascenze; tutti i disseccamenti sono accompagnati da speranzosi rampollamenti”. (Giovanni Papini: Storia della Letteratura italiana (Firenze, 1937),vol.I, pag.121)

Nel secolo XVI germogliarono molte “rinascenze” e molti “speranzosi rampollamenti” nel campo teologico, morale e caritativo, come corrispondenze ad altrettante “decadenze” e “diussecamenti”.

Giovanni di Dio e il suo Ordine sono una di queste provvidenziali “rinascenze” e uno di questi vigorosi “rampollamenti” nel campo dell’assistenza sociale e della carità ospedaliera.

In questa modesta sintesi storica, rievocando la grande figura di Giovanni di Dio e l’opera caritativa svolta da lui e dal suo Ordine, sarà facile poter constatare che le “rinascenze” e i “rampollamenti”, suscitati dal “pazzo di Granata”, non finirono con lui e nei limiti, pur vasti, di un secolo, ma continuano ancora al ritmo progredito del nostro secolo, conciliando sapientemente nova et vetera in caritate Christi”.

UN SEGNO DEI TEMPI

IL TERZO SETTORE IN ITALIA

Con il D. Lgs n.153 del 1999, a fine millenio, lo Stato emana un nuovo quadro normativo al fine di disciplinare il quadro d’azione delle fndazioni. Con il successivo atto del Minisero del Tesoro dell’agosto dello stesso anno, tra i cosiddetti settori rilevanti, viene inserita la sanità, insieme alla ricerca scientifica, l’istruzione, l’arte, la conservazione e la valorizzazione dei beni ambientali e l’assistenza alle categorie sociali deboli.

Non rendersi conto che Fondazioni Bancarie e Sanità tentano ormai da qualche anno riforme e sperimentazioni gestionali, vuol dire permanere nella crisi del sistema di “welfare” e morire lentamente, cullandosi nelle nostalgiche illusioni di un passato che mai più ritornerà.

E’ stato definito “terzo settore” ciò che rimane per “differenza” dopo aver individuato i primi due settori, il “pubblico” e il “mercato”. Questa impostazione fa comprendere la vastità dei soggetti appartenenti a tale comparto economico.

La sfera del pubblico, da un punto di vista soggettivo, è costituita dallo Stato, dalle Regioni, dagli enti locali, da quelli non territoriali e da altri enti la cui connotazione unitaria è rappresentata dalla utizzabilità di strumenti autoritativi nei rapporti con i soggetti individuali e collettivi dellordinamento.

La sfera dell’ impresa, invece, è definita dal codice civile all’art. 2082: si tratta dell’esercizio professionale di un’attività economica al fine della produzione e dello scambio di beni e servizi.

Stabiliti i connotati giuridici dei primi due settori, per “differenza” si delineano i confini del terzo settore: si tratta di una realtà che non ha i poteri autoritativi dell’ente pubblico e al tempo stesso non distribuisce profitti, anche se per raggiungere i propri obiettivi può esercitare attività commerciali in forma cosdidetta marginale.

Le definizioni ed i tentativi di delimitare i confini di tale settore non possono prescindere dalla considerazione di una serie di elementi così sintetizzabili:

natura dell’attività svolta;
estensione e natura dei destinatari;
non distribuibilità di risultati reddituali positivi;
natura privatistica e non pubblica;
la struttura dei componenti positivi di reddito;
incidenza del volontariato sul volume totale di lavoro espresso.

Tra i principali soggetti ( Ipab – Associazioni volontarie – Associazioni di tutela e “sSelf-help” -Cooperative sociali – Onlus – ) le FONDAZIONI rappresentano un importante mutamento culturale, prima che politico, grazie al quale si comincia a guardare al mondo della filantropia e dell’associazionismo in genere, come a una risorsa importante per il cambiamento sociale e la crescita culturale.

Che cos’è una fondazione?

La definizione più sintetica dell’istituto “fondazione” potrebbe essere “patrimonio per uno scopo”

L’argomento, solo accennato, evidenzia la necessità di un serio approfondimento. Quelli messi in evidenza sono solo alcuni mattoni indispensabili per gettare le basi di un nuovo sistema di welfare caratterizzato dalla presenza sinergica di diversi attori.

IL WELFAR STATE

La definizione di A.Briggs:

“Il welfar State è uno Stato dove si usa deliberatamente il potere politico ed amminisrativo in uno sforzo per modificare il gioco delle forze di mercato in almeno tre direzioni:

a. garantire agli individui ed alle famiglie un reddito minimo, indipendentemente dal valore di mercato del loro lavoro e delle proprietà;
b. restringere l’area di insicurezza , mettendo individui e famiglie in grado di far fronte a evenienze sociali, come malattia, vechiaia e disoccupazione, che altrimenti condurrebbero a crisi individuali e sociali:
c, assicurare a tutti i cittadini, senza distinzione di status e di classe, l’offerta di standard più alti rispetto ad una gamma riconosciuta di servizi sociali”.

“RIPENSARE LA SANITA’ A DISTANZA DI TRENT’ANNI DALL’INTRODUZIONE del Sistema sanitario nazionale significa pensare a un modello culturale nuovo, capace di rispondere alle mutate condizioni di vita che caratterizzano la società contemporanea e che ci impongono di guardare alla spesa sanitaria non più come a un costo da contenere, ma come a un investimento, oltre che per la salute, anche per lo sviluppo del nostro Paese”.

“E’ questo il momento di gettare le fondamenta per un nuovo Welfare, realizzando appieno una logica di sussidiarietà che veda il contributo di soggetti responsabilmente attivi e garantisca pari opportuntà durante l’intero ciclo di vita a tutti i componenti della società”. (segue…)

Com’è cambiato il settore sanitario

Il cattolico Francesco BERETTA: “Dieci anni fa la realtà lombarda era diversa. Esisteva il settore pubblico e i privati convenzionati. Questi ultimi si dividevano essenzialmente fra istituzioni religiose, alcune fondazioni pubbliche, altre private e tante altre piccole realtà private.

Poi il cambiamento radicale. Oggi le istituzioni religiose sono quasi del tutto scomparse o svolgono attività marginale perché sono strutture che non riescono gestire almeglio le proprie realtà sia per le dimensioni (piccole) che per mancanza di una vera mentalità e capacità imprenditoriale e manageriale e quindi sono spesso realtà economiche in perdita.

Anche le piccole strutture private sono pressocché scomparse, quasi sempre assorbite dai grandi gruppi privati. Restano così il pubblico, alcune grandi Fondazioni, per esempio il San Raffaele e la Fondazione Clinica del Lavoro, la Don Gnocchi e, appunto, i grandi gruppi privati (in Lombardia soprattutto il gruppo Rotelli e Humanitas), che sono in crescita.

La sanità privata oggi è anche un grande business coinvolto nel processo della globalizzazione. Questo elemento ha sicuramente modificato la modalità di erogazione e di gestione di queste strutture, ed esige una riflessione. Per esempio, sul fatto che un gruppo privato di livello nazionale non solo compra meglio, ma acquisisce meglio profesionisti di elevata qualità nazionale e imposta l’organizzazione delle proprie strutture in modo moderno e con elevate tecnologie.

Il sistema lombardo appare come principio buono, tanto che altre regioni lovogliono copiare. Penso che si possa lavorare su alcuni provvedimenti correttivi della Legge 31, senza però stravolgere la norma. Anzitutto perché la Lombardia è la Regione dove gli ospedali hanno i bilanci migliori e dove le persone si sentono assistite meglio.Un’osservazione, su cui chiedo una riflesione.

La reatà pubblica soffre del problema di non poter valorizzare al meglio i professionisti degli ospedali. Ce ne sono molti e bravissimi, ma non possiamo permetterci adeguate retribuzioni, così speso vediamo questi professionisti dover lasciare spesso l’ospedale per svolgere attività nel loro studio privato. D’altronde le varie riforme della sanità non consentono a noi direttori generali di premiare adeguatamente i nostri professionisti più bravi. Ci sono molti vincoli sulle assunzioni di personale, sulle remunerazioni differenziate anche per tutto il persoale assistenziale che necessita di un ampio approfondimento”.

A buon intenditor, poche parole. Qualcuno sulla scena è di troppo !

Sono segni premonitori…cattivi presagi…

Questa volta per l’estromissione non serve Napoleone, bastano i cattolici! Nessuno espropria. I supersiti, prima o poi, dovranno levare l’ancora e, responsabilmente, per il bene del Paese, togliersi di mezzo perché il mercato ha bisogno d’investire…

E dire che i religiosi – donne e uomini – per non essere da meno e non mandare in perdita istituzioni secolari, da qualche decennio ad amministrare hanno chiamato proprio laici supertitolati, dalle capacità imprenditoriali e manageriali. Allora come la mettiamo sulla “mancanza di una vera mentalità e capacità imprenditoriale e manageriale.”? Che non sia una bufala?
